"Lorenzo Monferrato absolutely loves his wife, Lissa, and their little girl. There is nothing he wouldn't do for them. With a striving business, he is the luckiest man in the world, until his P.A. continues to try to handle things her way. Amber Wright is nothing but trouble and wishes to be like a wannabe wife; even his mother knows that Amber is trying to push herself into Lorenzo's life. She believes he should fire her and get a male assistant. When Lorenzo begins traveling, to open up some more upscale hotel/spa/gyms, Amber is none to happy that Lorenzo chooses taking Lissa on his trips instead of her. "I really enjoyed this story. The refreshing characters were unique and the addition of a worker going after her boss was cleverly penned. There were moments I was on the edge of my seat, so engaged by the characters, especially Amber and her antics. She definitely played her part well as an obsessed woman. I loved the way Nick and Lissa, not to mention Nick's mother, really added a good deal of zest to the story, as they found ways to combat the scheming Amber. Kate Hofman spins a tale that is quite captivating, and I love how she adds just the right amount of twists and turns in For Love of Lorenzo to keep one turning the pages. Her stories and characters are always endearing, and stay focused so not to lose the reader's attention.
